Don’t miss out on our fab, free writing competition, organised by local writer and broadcaster Cath Bore.
We need stories of a maximum of 700 words on the theme of ‘celebration’. New writers are especially welcome.
There are 3 age categories:
- 12 and under
- 16 and under
- over 16 (adult)
Unlike many such competitions, it’s absolutely FREE to enter.
Entries for the adult category will be judged by Joan Bakewell, and crime writer & former Chair of the Crime Writers’ Association Margaret Murphy.
The young people and children’s stories will be judged by Alan Gibbons (previous winner of the Blue Peter Book Award, also shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal and Booktrust Teenage Prize) and Mortlock author Jonathan Mayhew.
