On behalf of our 42,000 members in the region, I am delighted that PCS is able to support the Liverpool Working Class Life and Music Festival.  We already have a relationship with the organisers of the Durham Miner’s Gala and the Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival in Dorset so to add a north west event to the calender is particularly pleasing.

Festivals such as this provide us with the opportunity to remember the struggles which have gone before and to prepare for those yet to come.  In that respect, PCS will be working over the coming months with other unions and progressive community groups to ensure that the working class are not left to pay with their jobs, pensions and services, including the Arts, for the mistakes of financial institutions and the super-rich.
